www.autox.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1306The Driver's School at Eastlake is fast approaching. Time to sign up and get your money into Scott. This year we are going to do things a bit different. The idea being to give the new people a more exact feel for an autocross event and also give the more experienced people a bit of a chance to test. There will be 3 groups in total - 2 for beginners and 1 for experienced drivers. The school will be divided into 3 separate parts... 1. Launch and Braking control. 2. Corning and Slalom control. 3. Classroom. We will basically separate a full autox course into 2 separate areas were two of the 2 groups will be running while the other is in the classroom. Then we will rotate through each section. Have a lunch break. Then the afternoon we will connect the course and run all afternoon with the timer. The classroom will cover the basics of driving, performance tuning, and car preparation for all the new people. It will be more advanced for the more experienced drivers and be more of an open forum to discuss how to get the last few tenths you need to win. Instructors will be with the 2 beginner groups in the morning and afternoon. The more experienced group will be able to test tire pressures, shock settings, sway bars, whatever and use it as a test & tune. Price is $50 and includes the school and next days event. There are plenty of food places and gas station on site or walking distance. Please make checks payable to: AKRON SPORTS CAR CLUB Mail to: Scott Hearne, 8400 Opal St. NW, Massillon, OH, 44646
